The game features a roster of 20 basic Street Fighter characters, 20 basic Tekken characters, plus 6 Street Fighter characters and 6 Tekken characters downloadable in PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game and default characters in PlayStation Vita and PC versions. Like in the Street Fighter series, characters have few special moves rather than many basic moves and their inputs are mostly a combination of direction buttons followed by one single attack button. Produced by Capcom, it features gameplay based on Street Fighter (opposite to Tekken X Street Fighter), featuring 2D movement and six attack buttons: low, medium, high (power) punch and low, medium, high (power) kick. or even MvC 3.Street Fighter X Tekken is a direct crossover between the two series. with no consolidated 'complete version' with all the additions ever offered no matter how long after initial release) and improve the ugly art direction and designs of SF IV & V (maybe go back to detailed HD sprite work animations? pipe dreams I know), but imo that franchise peaked with SF 3rd Strike and prior entries back in Capcom's heyday.Īnyhow, more realistically I'd prefer if our beloved Capcom revived some of their other more neglected IP's on Switch like a new: I mean Street Fighter VI would be nice if they can get it right from jump this time (my faith in fighting games this era has plummeted drastically with the prevalence of barebones releases, then subsequent paid DLC update-fest doled out over the course of years.

Still that doesn't mean it'll come to Switch but since there's only 3 real consoles on Earth now I'm not sure if Capcom wanted to miss out on the easy Switch money that is unless they count the Amico, PlayDate, and Atari VCS as likely platforms. Street Fighter VI is likely a multiplat again like Zero (Alpha), II, and IV.

PS2 and Xbox didn't get it til after the hype. Street Fighter III was only ported to Dreamcast. Street Fighter II was everywhere including SNES, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, GB, GBA, SMS, PS1, PS2, PS3, Switch, etc. Modern console didn't had it til the collection, Wii got it only as an emulation. Street Fighter One was only ported to Turbo CD. Alpha had games on SNES, PS1, PS2, GBC, GBA, Saturn, Dreamcast. Capcom had this trends where their even number entry Street Fighter games always gets multiplat whereas their odd number entries doesn't (until the hype died down).
